Our menu comes from Gina, my Mom, from Agrigento, Sicily. Gina believed that food is love. Our restaurant is entrepreneurial, excited, and fun. We are bringing a vibrant local Sicilian/Italian cuisine to the DC-Maryland area. 

We are seeking a CDC to join our team. We are under construction and we open this Fall in Gaithersburg, Maryland at Kentlands Market Square. You can read more details about our restaurant, mission at and you can email us at info@ginascucinasiciliana.com

Our staff will participate in the growth of Gina's, so we offer profit sharing and potential partnership-equity in our company. We seek a candidate with an interest in Italian/Sicilian cuisine. Our restaurant is gluten free (GF) based on our ("senza glutine") techniques from Italy and Sicily, and we are seeking candidates willing to learn/execute our GF culinary methods. We will work together with you to implement operations practices that will delight our guests and cultivate a fulfilling professional environment for you and our staff-team. 

We are seeking a candidate who is interested in working in the DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV). We can negotiate coverage of relocation moving costs for those willing to move to Maryland. We are a community-based restaurant, so we are hoping to find a candidate that would enjoy working with our Maryland team to bring our special foods and fine dining to Maryland. We have a Culinary Director, CEO, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and COO who will support you, so this will be a collaborative team dynamic. We are using best-practice technologies and management strategies to integrate FOH and BOH operations for efficient communications, service, and team-building, which will make the CDC role more rewarding.

We hope to find a candidate for this position who would enjoy helping us build this mission. 

Position Summary

Pre Opening Responsibilities:

• Learn Gina’s menu and concept
• Understand SOPs and health/safety procedures 
• Help hire and train kitchen staff
• Assist in BOH-related procedures

Post Opening Responsibilities:

• Help cultivate a great BOH team
• Contribute positive, composed, and respectful leadership during meal services
• Ensure consistency in the execution of dishes to maintain excellent quality food
• Maintain health/safety compliance during day to day operations 
• Provide feedback and coaching to BOH team during and outside of service 
• Manage food ordering, receiving, and inventory levels 
• Communicate with FOH staff to ensure smooth service
