Driver
Pay: $19 per hour
Shift: 1st / 7am-4pm

Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified, dependable Class A Truck Driver to join our delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading pallets from the warehouse into your truck, transporting the load to Local companies, and unloading the shipment when you arrive. Our drivers must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking with customers. We prefer candidates who have at least six months of truck driving experience and who know how to perform routine maintenance on trucks.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Perform Pre and Post trips daily, maintain and inspect vehicles (e.g., checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of the vehicle.
• Map delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Drives vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites.
• Loads delivery vehicles to ensure that all items and supplies are properly secured.
• Maintains various files and records (Bill of Lading, Delivery Documents) for the purpose of documenting activities, and providing materials and reliable resource information.
• Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
• Prepares orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements.
• Receives stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct and/or inspecting items for damage.
• Stock equipment and supplies to maintain required inventory levels.
• Load and unload items for the purpose of distributing shipments to assigned site locations and/or individuals.
• Deliver products to customers in a safe, timely,y and courteous manner.
• Coordinate with customers prior to delivery and when delivering to determine placement of product.
• Follow all State/Federal DOT regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class B commercial driver's license required.
• 6+ months of driving a large truck.
• 6+ months of warehouse experience.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Adhering to safety practices.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as electric lifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks a plus.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds, some products will be heavier than this.
• Working in inclement weather conditions.
