The Role: Keep the Steel Moving As a critical member of the maintenance team, you ensure the heartbeat of the plant never skips a beat. This is heavy-duty work for a pro who loves hands-on troubleshooting.
Your Daily Mission:
- Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose AC/DC overhead cranes, wound rotor motors, and hydraulic sensors.
- System Mastery: Maintain AC/DC drives, PLC I/O, and massive machine tool actuators (like industrial lathes).
- Precision Maintenance: Join the Machine Tool or Hot Works teams to minimize downtime.
- Safety Leadership: Follow all protocols to keep the facility safe and efficient.
What You Bring to the Team
- Experience: 2+ years in an industrial electrical role (Apprenticeship/Schooling preferred).
- Expertise: Root-cause analysis skills and a logical approach to breakdowns.
- Physical Grit: Ability to navigate a non-climate-controlled environment, work from heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Shift Commitment: This is a dedicated 3rd Shift position (8 hours, no rotation).

Responsibilities
- Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment (AC/DC overhead cranes, AC wound rotor/DC motors, AC/DC drives, Hydraulic systems sensors and controls, large machine tool (ie. Lathe) drives, controls, sensors, and actuators PLC I/O).
- Position is a member of either the Machine Tool or Hot Works Maintenance teams and will be required to walk, stand, bend, squat, work from heights, navigate uneven surfaces, and lift up to 50 pounds in a non-climate controlled industrial environment.
- All Electricians will be expected to follow all policies and procedures, assist with safety and housekeeping activities, and perform all tasks assigned to them by their supervisor.
- Must be willing to work any shift (8 hour no rotation) and overtime.
- Ability to react to changes in job responsibility and current tasks as needed.
- Problem solving skills to get to root cause of breakdown and repair.
- Proactive, logical, and pragmatic philosophy to solving problems.
- Ability to communicate with supervision.
- Self-motivated
- Professional work ethic and an ability to work alone or in a team.
