Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate irrigation technicians to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety standards.
• Conduct daily jobsite inspections to monitor quality and safety compliance.
• Review and respond to online ET controller alerts and ensure proper irrigation system operation.
• Organize and manage the irrigation department to achieve or exceed annual budget goals.
• Enforce maintenance procedures to keep trucks and equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Communicate equipment issues promptly to the mechanic for timely resolution.
• Recruit, manage, and develop staff in accordance with company policies and employment laws.
• Develop and communicate daily procedures and operational updates to management.
• Approve and correct employee timecards daily.
• Monitor weather conditions and direct snow removal operations during the winter season, including plowing and shoveling as needed.
• Operate various types of landscape and snow removal equipment as required.
• Attend company meetings and participate in planning for future growth of the maintenance division.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an irrigation technician.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of ET controller programming.
• Experience in field operations with a proven track record of success.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and risk reduction.
• Bilingual required.
• Experience with Aspire software preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and email communication.
• Ability to write technical and professional reports and correspondence.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, climb, and lift for extended periods.
• Understanding of landscape construction principles, plan and specification interpretation, and basic landscape construction methods.
• Ability to identify most tree and shrub species and their care requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to be on call for snow removal during winter months and work extended hours as needed.
