About the Role:
University Cancer & Blood Center is seeking a Palliative Care Physician to join its compassionate care team and our growing Living Well Program in Athens. This unique program provides comprehensive support across the full range of cancer care and offers services such as social support, transportation assistance, and specialized palliative care. Within the palliative care component, you will work alongside Palliative Care-certified Advanced Practice Providers to deliver patient-centered, interdisciplinary care focused on quality of life and symptom management. The Live Well program is a vital extension of our mission to achieve the best possible outcome for every patient who walks through our doors. University Cancer & Blood Center has been committed to serving the medical oncology and hematology needs of the local Athens community and the Northeast Georgia region. Our practice intends to provide the highest level of care possible while remaining increasingly focused on a more comprehensive approach to addressing and serving the broader needs of our patients and their families. University Cancer and Blood Center offers Hematology/Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Breast Surgery, a cutting-edge Theranostics treatment program, our in-house pharmacy, and a robust clinical trials program, the second-largest clinical trial program in the state. Our practice also offers a 'Live Well' program, which covers a large spectrum of cancer care from diagnosis to survivorship, social support services, transportation, and palliative care.
