Role Overview PSA is one of the first regional airlines to launch a Cadet Program, helping promising future pilots move smoothly from the classroom to the cockpit. Key Responsibilities Eligibility begins once the Private Pilot Certificate is complete. Successfully complete an interview with PSA to become a Cadet in the program. Take up the opportunities offered to Cadets, including mentorship with airline industry experts and internships. Complete the Senior Cadet Interview and continue building flight time towards ATP or R-ATP minimums. Interview Process The interview process is broken into three sections: HR interview (Cadet). Technical evaluation (Senior Cadet). Cadet Instructor check-in and logbook review (Cadet Instructor). Requirements Must be a current flight student or a CFI who is actively instructing. No more than three check ride failures. No accident or incident determined by the NTSB to be negligent on the part of the pilot. Cadets eligible for an R-ATP (1,000 or 1,250 hours) must have no more than 700 hours. Cadets requiring an ATP (1,500 hours) must have no more than 1,200 hours. Must be able to speak, read and write English. If hired, must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the United States. Licences & Qualifications Must hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate. Ability to obtain a First Class Medical. Ability to obtain a valid passport. Ability to obtain an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit. Must be able to meet the necessary hours and qualifications under the ATP requirements or the restricted ATP requirements. What We Offer Tuition reimbursement totalling $15,000 once eligible after the Senior Cadet Interview: $7,500 after the Senior Cadet Interview and $7,500 at time building (within 500 hours of ATP minimums). The ATP-CTP course (valued at $5,000) paid by PSA for qualified candidates who need to complete the ATP written exam before new hire training, once ATP or R-ATP minimum flight experience requirements are reached. Hotel accommodation and ground transportation during the ATP-CTP course. Placement into the next available PSA class on reaching minimums, with no additional interview required. Flow-through to American Airlines with no additional interview, once the requirements at PSA are complete. Mentorship with airline industry experts and internship opportunities. Work environment: the job operates inside a climate-controlled building and routinely uses standard office equipment. The role is largely sedentary, but the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 25 lbs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Security clearance: all employees must pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49 CFR 1542.209. The vacancy is advertised across several PSA Airlines locations.
