Location: Clinton, MS (100% Onsite)

Duration: 06/08/2026 - 03/31/2027 + Long-term Extensions

Pay Rate: $80.00 /hr (C2C, 1099, W2 without benefits)

We are seeking a highly experienced, CCIE-level Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer for a long-term contract with the State of Mississippi's Office of Information Technology (OIT). In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, security, and ongoing support of the state's enterprise data center and campus network infrastructure. You will work extensively with Cisco ACI, Software-Defined Access (SDA), Cisco ISE, and Palo Alto firewalls, alongside cutting-edge observability tools.

• Cisco ACI Fabric: Design, administer, and optimize ACI fabrics (VRF, BD, EPG/esg, L3Out).
• Container Integration: Manage ACI integrations with OpenShift VMM and Cilium/Isovalent.
• Campus Network: Deploy and support Catalyst and SDA wired/wireless fabric technologies.
• Identity & Access: Configure identity-driven access via Cisco ISE (TACACS+, NAC, device profiling).
• Network Security: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot state-wide Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
• Network Observability: Utilize ThousandEyes, Cyber Vision, and DNA Spaces for deep analytics and monitoring.
• Lifecycle Management: Handle network documentation, lifecycle planning, and support for mission-critical systems.

• Experience: Minimum 15+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise Cisco networking environments.
• Expertise: CCIE-level technical depth (Certification highly preferred).
• Cisco ACI: Proven, production-level expertise with core ACI constructs (VRF, BD, EPG, ESG, L3Out, Contracts).
• Container Platforms: Direct experience integrating ACI with OpenShift VMM and Cilium/Isovalent.
• SDA & Catalyst: Mastery of Cisco Catalyst platforms and Software-Defined Access (SDA) technologies.
• Cisco ISE: Strong background in policy-set based NAC, TACACS+, and advanced authorization workflows.
• Firewalls: Solid command of Palo Alto firewall administration and policy development.
• Observability: Familiarity with ThousandEyes, Cyber Vision, DNA Spaces, or equivalent monitoring tools.
• Fundamentals: Expert knowledge of core TCP/IP, routing, switching, QoS, and security fundamentals.
